What is a listserve? How does it work? The purpose of the listserve is to provide a way for members of our society to share information, ideas and questions with colleagues. There are instructions on how to subscribe or unsubscribe yourself if you go to the ASCLS Region VIII site. We try to add new members periodically throughout the year so that we can pass on information that affects our profession, educational opportunities, interesting ideas, etc. It is intended for all to use in a professional and appropriate way. Please feel free to send messages that you would like to share with our members or if you have questions you need answered.

To post a message, simply type ascls-idaho-connections@asclsregionviii.org as the email address and proceed like a normal email. It might be useful to save it in your address book since it is so long. This should also keep it out of your junk mail.

You will notice that if you reply, it does go to the entire list. If you prefer to send to only the poster of the message, please note their email address and send an email only to that person. If this method continues to be a nuisance to many, I will change it to reply only to the poster. My concern is that if questions are asked, we might all be interested in the answers.

This is a great vehicle for sharing and connecting with one another. It is provided free of charge to us through ASCLS Region VIII which also offers list serves for the Region, Administrators, and some of the Scientific Assembly groups.
