Becoming an ASCLS-Idaho Member: ASCLS-Idaho is the Idaho branch of the American Society for Clinical Laboratory Science. When you join, you become a member of both organizations. Your membership demonstrates your commitment to supporting and advancing your chosen profession. ASCLS and ASCLS-Idaho provide you with connections to other clinical laboratory professionals that can prove invaluable in your career. In addition, ASCLS maintains a professional lobbyist in Washington D.C. who monitors legislation that may affect our profession and actively works to represent our views and needs.

Special Promotion: If you are a 2-day non-member registrant and wish to join ASCLS as a Professional I member at this ASCLS-Idaho Spring Convention, you will receive 15 months of membership for the price of 12 months. The membership year is from August 1 through July 31. By joining now, you will be a member until the end of July 2010. This does not apply to lapsed memberships.

Professional I: $102 ($92 National dues + $10 State dues)- Includes all membership privileges, discounts to continuing education events, and subscriptions t the monthly ASCLS newsletter ASCLS Today, the award-winning bi-monthly journal Clinical Laboratory Science, and the ASCLS-Idaho Newsletter Focus.

Professional II: $80 ($70 National dues + $10 State dues) - Includes all the above except the subscription to Clinical Laboratory Science.

First Year Professional: $50 ($40 National dues + $10 State dues) - Open to persons who have graduated from an accredited clinical laboratory science program within the last twelve months. Prior student membership with ASCLS is not a prerequisite. This membership status is valid for only one year to assist recent graduates. After on year in this category, members are upgraded to Professional membership.

Student: $25 (National dues only) - Open to persons enrolled in a structured program of training or academic instruction in Clinical Laboratory Science or to full-time graduate students in a related science area. Student membership includes all benefits of a Professional I membership.

Collaborative: $40 – Requires membership in another health-related organization. Members in this category have no voting privileges.
